At Cool & Co, we help our clients reduce their carbon footprint by producing fruit directly on our farms. We’re contributing to their journey towards carbon neutrality, as we stand firmly committed to generating no negative impact on the environment.

What are Carbon Credits?

Carbon credits are an international instrument designed to reduce polluting emissions that affect the environment. They are part of the mechanisms established by the Kyoto Protocol to reduce emissions that cause global warming and contribute to the greenhouse effect.

This system offers economic incentives for private companies to contribute to environmental quality improvement by regulating the emissions generated by their production processes, treating the right to emit COz as a tradable good with a market-defined price.

The transaction of carbon credits

—each representing the right to emit one ton of carbon dioxide — helps mitigate the generation of greenhouse gases.
It benefits companies that do not emit or reduce emissions and requires payment from those that exceed permitted levels.

What is a CoolEarthCoin (CEC)?

CoolEarthCoin (CEC) is a currency created by Cool Zero CO₂ that represents CO₂ reduction through regenerative agriculture.

For each package of fruit purchased under this model, the consumer receives 1 CEC, equivalent to 50 kg of CO₂ removed from the atmosphere. Additionally, if you reach 20 CECs, you will receive a certified Carbon Credit. With this Credit, you can contribute to reducing CO₂ emissions on the planet and achieve ZERO CO₂, or you can exchange it for cash—it’s up to you.
